Anatolia Turkish Restaurant
When it comes to naming a Turkish food, i guess the first thing that comes to most of our minds would be their ice-cream and the cheeky ice-cream man.
Anatolia Turkish Restaurant has been selling their Turkish delights for the past 10 years at the popular youth hangout in Far East Plaza. This was confirmed by Wey Shi, who proclaimed that he used to frequent that area in his sec sch days. tsk tsk.
The details....
*** Name: Anatolia Turkish Restaurant
*** Location: Far East Plaza #02-58/59
***Highlight: Iskender
*** DON'T: I added this section cos I think it's really worth the mention. Unless you are a fan of pure yoghurt, pls do not try their yoghurt drink. If I never remember wrongly, it's called Aryan

The ordering counter
The restuarant is divided into 2 sides, 1 for the ordering, the other section is the main dining area. The walkway separates the 2 sides. The dining area is rather quiet compared to the restaurants at Level 1. So if you are thinking of having a meal without the crowd and the noise, this is the place. But it's kinda small though.
That day which was our 2nd visit, we ordered a Sandwich Chicken Set (S$7.50) inclusive of a small plate of fries and a drink, and a Pancake Chicken Kebab (S$6.00). You can choose between beef or chicken.

Sandwich Chicken Set

the veg and the shredded chicken.
Found that the bread is a little dry. But after some random websites on Turkish food, I've concluded that Middle East food are usually pretty dry for Asians. So that's what the drink is for! haha.
The shredded chicken tasted great! It was a bit spicy. But for a person like me who can't stand spicy food, it's still tolerable. Don't expect too much for the fries though. It's not a Turkish dish afterall.

Chicken kebab

Tomato based sauce Chicken Kebab
What I really liked most is their Iskender (S$8.00). It consists of shredded beef or chicken (depending on your preference) drenched in tomato based sauce. There's also some yoghurt for you to dip the meat but it can get rather sourish.
At the end of the day, I think their friendly and approachable service helped as well.
